The Ulu Set
The Alaskan Ulu has been used for centuries by the native Eskimo people of the Arctic. Ulus were first shaped from slate, a stone that can often be found in its natural shape, curved or tapered to a fine edge. It was this natural stone formation which inspired the unique Ulu design. When the white man brought his "long knife" to the arctic, the Eskimos retained the ulu design while resourcefully adopting new materials. The ulu is still their most popular cutting tool, for everything from cooking to sewing. It is a far superior design to any other knife available, offering better control and versatility for all cutting needs. These knives are all one of a kind and are right and left hand specific - art & function at it's best! |
